Lori Andersen

Instructor

A sculpture and elemental painting artist, Lori Andersen has been a professional in the field since 1991. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art at the University of Denver and her Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture at the University of Arizona.

 

Andersen has extensive experience in ceramics, bronze and aluminum casting and patination, welding, fiberglass, epoxy and cement sculpting, and has taught in college and university settings. As an adjunct faculty member at Pima Community College, she has supported the growth of hundreds of students and continues to do so today.

She was an Artist in Residence in Eureka, CA, and Oryahovo, Bulgaria. Andersen has also been featured in countless exhibitions, including a Southern Arizona favorite, “Glow,” which annually lights up the night with art at the Triangle L Ranch in Oracle. She also served on the Board of Directors for a conservation organization, both as Secretary and President. She is also an active world traveler and is fluent in Spanish.
